Step 3 Using the nylon mallet hammer softly to feel for the edges of the notch. Work hammering in a circular direction around the notch starting in the middle of the sheet. Assignment 2: Ferrari 250 GTO Rear wheel arch panel forming Putting together the mold lattice. Tracing and cutting of the rear wheel arch panel. Pressing the cut out on the mold to get the basic form of the piece. Shaping the wheel arch panel using mallet and sand bag. Filing the uneven edges to a smooth curve. Lining up the half formed piece with the mold and then shaping again to suit. Starting the wheel arch on the other side of the car. The final pieces positioned on the lattice mold.
